Contract Administrators, Building construction, Australia

One role.
Done perfectly.

The CA Hub places permanent Contract Administrators into Australian building and construction firms, and nothing else. It is also the knowledge centre for CAs across Australia, we help them understand their own market better than anyone trying to sell it to them.

The research

We studied the role before we placed anyone in it.

Before The CA Hub filled a single seat, we interviewed 100 Contract Administrators. We asked what attracts them, what makes them stay, and what makes them walk. Those answers run through every shortlist we build.

80%

of senior Contract Administrators rank project complexity and payment integrity above a firm's tier status.

75%

find their next role through referral and network, bypassing the job boards entirely.

65%

back-channel check a firm's payment reputation with subcontractors before they ever apply.

90%

read silence after an interview as a rejection within five days.

FOR CONTRACT ADMINISTRATORS

A place that’s actually yours.

Confidential representation by the one agency that studies your market full time. We brief you honestly on the payment culture, the project and the manager before you ever sit an interview, so the role you accept is the role you get.

— A live base salary benchmark, set against real market data

— Ongoing research you help shape, and what industry news means for you

— Roles that never reach the job boards

— A read on the manager and the project, not just the logo

FOR EMPLOYERS

We bet our own fee on the outcome.

Passive, research-led search for one role family only. We interrogate the brief the way we interrogate candidates, then build and own the Employee Value Proposition at company, project and manager level. Because we call it, we are accountable for its honesty.

— $5k to start the search, the balance only when the hire holds the seat

— A specialist network, not a job ad and a pile of applications

— An honest EVP, which removes the single biggest cause of early attrition

— One role family, so every search sharpens the next

The pricing

We do not sell a placement. We land people in long-term careers.

Most agencies invoice on the candidate's start date and offer a soft replacement guarantee, which leaves the turnover risk with you. We carry that risk instead. The total fee is 12% of base salary, and most of it is contingent on the hire still being in the seat at three months.

If the candidate leaves before three months, you never owe the balance.

$5,000

Payable upfront to start the search. This is the only money at risk if a placement does not hold.

The balance
of 12%

Of base salary, payable only once the placed Contract Administrator completes three months in the role.

$0

Owed beyond the deposit if the hire walks inside three months. The risk sits with us, not you.

how we work

The difference is the work a generalist recruiter never touches.

01 · Passive search

We go to the network, not the job board.

Every candidate is interviewed with the same question set that fed our research, so we know what they want and what would make them walk before we put them in front of you.

02 · The EVP

We build and own it at three levels.

The company, the project, and the specific hiring manager. We call the EVP, so we are accountable for its honesty. Every Contract Administrator we interviewed was put off by an oversold, memorised pitch, and preferred the real project risk laid out in the first interview. So that is what we do.

03 · Aligned both sides

The role accepted is the role delivered.

We interrogate the client brief in parallel with the candidate. When both sides are honest about the project risk up front, the placement holds. That is why we can put our fee on it.

The benchmark survey

A short, permanent survey that gives every Contract Administrator an instant read on their base salary against the live market. Each response adds to the dataset, and findings are published quarterly. It is the proof behind everything we claim.

News commentary

Short takes on what building construction news actually means for the Contract Administrator role. Not headlines repeated back, but the read on what it changes for the people doing the work.

The founder

Dave McInally

Twenty-two years across agency recruitment, in-house talent leadership and HR consulting. The CA Hub exists because building and construction firms keep losing good Contract Administrators to processes never designed for the role.

The narrow focus is the point. Every Contract Administrator conversation makes the next one sharper, and the data compounds in one direction. A job family this specialised, and this critical to a build, deserves a recruitment firm who does nothing else.
